The No 8 route from Bolton to Manchester was principally a Salford Corporation domain back in the old days. In this view, 3426 PND 426 from the Manchester Corporation fleet with an MCW Orion H36/30R body heads south on the A666 through Moses Gate on the outskirts of Bolton working the route to Manchester.Previous | NextIn this scene at Ashton, two Manchester Corporation PD2s stand alongside each other. On the left is 3453 with an MCW Orion H36/30R body which entered service in 1956 whereas 3578 UNB 578 with a Metro-Cammell H37/28R body entered service in 1958.
