Manchester Corporation Leyland Atlantean No 1140 NNB 545H with an East Lancs H47/32F body is seen here descending Crescent Road in Crumpsall working the No 7 route from Mandley Park to Brookdale Park. This was one of twelve single-door Atlanteans in a fleet of 24 vehicles based at Queens Road garage. The other twelve vehicles in this batch were fitted with dual doors and were split evenly between Birchfields Road and Northenden garage in the south of the city.Previous | Next1182 ONF 870H was new to Selnec in 1970. This Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlantean spent most of its life as a Queens Road vehicle before moving west to Wigan where it is seen here working the 629 route to Abbey Lakes.  (Photo by S Kemp)
