Of the thirty MCW Orion H36/28R bodied Daimlers in the Manchester Corporation fleet, the first ten vehicles 4480-4489 were Daimler CVG6s with a slide-opening cab door and, the remaining twenty vehicles including 4498 PND 498 as seen here at Piccadilly Bus Station were Daimler CVG5s with a conventional cab door. This vehicle entered traffic in 1955 and carries the original Manchester Corporation livery.  (c) SCT61.

4495 PND 495 was one of twenty slow speed Daimler CVG5s with an MCW Orion H36/28R body seen here in Trafford Park.Previous | NextManchester Corporation Daimler CVG5 No 4508 PND 508 with an MCW Orion H36/30R body seen here at Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station. All of the Daimler CVG5s in this batch were fitted with slide vents as seen here with the exception of 4507 which was fitted with drop down vents.
