Metro-Cammell is a name that has been synonymous with the bus and rail industries across the transport infrastructure, and the photos in this collection are of vehicles associated with the Midlands-based bodywork manufacturer from the 1950s through to the 1980s courtesy of the Aston Manor Transport Museum which was staging this event as a tribute to the company's achievements in vehicle production. The Metro-Cammell plant is no longer in operation.
Metrobuses in revenue-earning service within a national context are few and far between these days, and one that is facing imminent withdrawal is Travel West Midlands No 2753 A753 WVP from Yardley Wood garage. It is seen here in the car park at Aston Manor Transport Museum. 18th October 2009.
