When Manchester's GM Buses acquired ten ex-London Routemasters back in 1988, they had retained their London Transport fleet numbers and carried the GM fleet numbers of which two examples are seen here. The vehicle on the left is 2207 WLT 429 (ex RM429) and 2202 (776 DYE) ex RM1776 at the southern end of the 143 route in the West Didsbury area of Manchester.

A front and offside view of AEC Routemaster RM1136 (136 CLT) which was one of ten vehicles acquired by GM Buses in 1988 for their Piccadilly Line 143 route to West Didsbury. This vehicle carried the GM fleet No 2201 as seen on the white cantrail stripe above the driver's cab. The location here is Parker Street alongside Piccadilly Plaza in Manchester.

All ten of the GM Buses AEC Routemasters were allocated to Princess Road garage of which two of the vehicles are seen here outside the depot on Bowes Street. The vehicle nearest the camera is RM1776 (776DYE) which became 2202 in the GM Buses fleet.

This is the view of Mosley Street facing west in Manchester City Centre as AEC Routemaster No RM1807 (807 DYE) is about to turn left onto Market Street on the start of its journey to West Didsbury via Cannon Street, Cross Street and Albert Square. This vehicle became 2209 in the GM fleet and, numerically was the last of the ten.
